snOMG!
Good lord, it's been a minute since I've blogged. Well, since I don't have ish else to do today I will make it a day of renewals. For example, in a few minutes I'm going to reintroduce myself to an old friend, the treadmill. I'm not getting any younger and my gut is not getting any smaller...so, why not?! I'm also going to get back on the grind of my practicing my French and as you can see I'm blogging again. I guess I needed a three day weekend and a record breaking December snowfall to get my priorities in order. Happy #snOMG!

Under Construction
So, as my life goes under construction, so does my blog. Nothing serious, it (the blog) just needs a little face lift, something to reflect the simplicity I am instituting in important areas of my life. This change won't be for long, I have a feeling I will have fun posts this weekend from Miami!!

My first CBC

Needless to say I'll be wearing flats for the rest of the year. SMH
"God's trying to tell you something"
Today concluded the end of my first CBC weekend and I spent the ENTIRE day in the bed. I was absolutely exhausted after two days of fun and VIP tables. The highlight of my weekend was seeing Suge Avery (from The Color Purple) in VIP at a DC club. Like for real, Suge Avery. She was there with who I was told was Thelma from Good Times, but I've never watched the show so I cannot confirm. Other famous sightings included Roland Martin, Jesse Jackson, some dude from The Game, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and T.O. All in all a good weekend in the District. Now it's back to reality, which means work and traveling. Happy Sunday!

Empire State of Mind
Tonight was my very first time in NYC...and I absolutely loved it. Normally I would be passed clean out at this time of night, but I had to blog about the experience while it was still fresh in my head. I know it's totally cliche', but the city was incredibly electrifying. There were so many people, so many shops, even the street vendors had some pretty fire items. I cannot wait to come back, I think I may go every month until I live there. All in all, my few short hours in the city were très bon.P.S. More on them fire French skills later.

Ikea is for lovers
So, I went to Ikea today to get a new nightstand since I'm on a new decorating quest. While I was perusing through the isles, I began to notice something...if you're feeling some type of way about your relationship status DO NOT go to Ikea. I'm surprised they let me in the front door without a date. I'm going to hope it's because the women don't want to load the heavy furniture into their vehicles. But because I am VP of the Super Single Club and just a general down a$$ b!t%# I carried my purchase out like an Old G. Say sumthin'...
