My first CBC

Part of my great weekend means that I had to look fabulous and part of looking fabulous means wearing heels. U-G-H! I think heels are a curse to womankind and should be banished from the face of the earth...or at least be more freaking comfortable! Geez! I mean...you pay tons of money for these things and your feet end up feeling and looking like this...

Needless to say I'll be wearing flats for the rest of the year. SMH

"God's trying to tell you something"

Today concluded the end of my first CBC weekend and I spent the ENTIRE day in the bed. I was absolutely exhausted after two days of fun and VIP tables. The highlight of my weekend was seeing Suge Avery (from The Color Purple) in VIP at a DC club. Like for real, Suge Avery. She was there with who I was told was Thelma from Good Times, but I've never watched the show so I cannot confirm. Other famous sightings included Roland Martin, Jesse Jackson, some dude from The Game, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson and T.O. All in all a good weekend in the District. Now it's back to reality, which means work and traveling. Happy Sunday!

Empire State of Mind

Tonight was my very first time in NYC...and I absolutely loved it. Normally I would be passed clean out at this time of night, but I had to blog about the experience while it was still fresh in my head. I know it's totally cliche', but the city was incredibly electrifying. There were so many people, so many shops, even the street vendors had some pretty fire items. I cannot wait to come back, I think I may go every month until I live there. All in all, my few short hours in the city were très bon.

P.S. More on them fire French skills later.

Ikea is for lovers

So, I went to Ikea today to get a new nightstand since I'm on a new decorating quest. While I was perusing through the isles, I began to notice something...if you're feeling some type of way about your relationship status DO NOT go to Ikea. I'm surprised they let me in the front door without a date. I'm going to hope it's because the women don't want to load the heavy furniture into their vehicles. But because I am VP of the Super Single Club and just a general down a$$ b!t%# I carried my purchase out like an Old G. Say sumthin'...

Oh Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...

...please shine down on me. Donde esta el sol? I mean, I haven't seen homie in almost 3 weeks! First it was cloudy and cold in KC, then STL was cloudy and cold and now that I'm back in the DMV the rain and cold has followed me yet again. This is not cool, not cool at all dog.

Microphone check

The universe and I have a special bond. I talk, it listens. I inadvertently spoke to the universe about moving to D.C. and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere the floodgates opened and the city was right within my reach. Now that all of that is done (and I'm loving in btw) I'm talking to the universe again. I've never been out of the United States of America and now that I'm quickly approaching the age of 25 I want a short vacay out of the USA. So, here it goes, Universe, for my 25th birthday I want to be in Thailand. I have spoken, now you make it happen.

2 for 1 special

I'm looking for a good deal on a lobotomy. Let me know if you know of anyone or if you make house calls.

That new new

My roommate and I are goofy and the smallest things in life delight us. For example, we are simply elated when we see a new lol cat. This is the one she sent me this morning after I borrowed her pen.

Well, lo and behold while browsing one of the LOL Cat sites I noticed they have LOL Dogs!!! I know you're rolling over with excitement right now, because I did the same. Below are two of my favorites.

I have a dream

So for the past few months I've had some very strange dreams. I believe they're all directly related to a particular situation in my life, but that's neither her nor there. I usually never remember my dreams, but as of late they've been more like nightmares waking me out of my sleep in the wee hours of the morning. I really believe that all dreams have some type of meaning, whether it's a psychic meaning or just something swimming around in your subconscious. My roomie has dreams with psychic meanings, but every time I ask her to dream about me she doesn't...hater! :)

Anyway, so far my favorite dream decoding website is www.dreammoods.com. It's great at explaining different types of dreams and has a handy dandy alphabetical dream dictionary where you can research the main themes in your dream. I'm interested in taking my new interest in dreams a step further, so does anyone know of any good books out there? If you do please let me know.

Guess who's bizack...again

I'm back from my tour of the Midwest and I'm tired than a mug. I'm getting acclamated again to the strange things of the District like Homeland Security and a old lady walking around in a full cape. Oh how I love thee, DMV. :)

This is a picture of the love of my life, Milo Taft.

Guess who's bizack

I JUST got back from a successful trip in the Midwest and I'm up WAY too early, but no rest for the weary. Have a beautiful day. BTW, does anyone know how to help carpal tunnel? I believe I'm developing a slight case of it and possibly arthritis in my thumbs from using the BlackBerry too much. I think it's an occupational hazard. Do you think I can get worker's comp?
